A clean and refreshing style has always been able to touch our senses. Through the use of details, the ordinary can become extraordinary.
The majority of us favour simplicity. After all, a blank canvas allows us to have a chance to change it up anytime and turn it into something more exciting. The same goes for home decor. A blank space can introduce a lot of possibilities. We add our favourite objects bit by bit and fill in the blanks with interesting stories, so that the space becomes a place that expresses our character and personality.
Berlin art director and photographer Anna Cor, reimagines her home as a versatile photo studio, using grey tones as the main colour palette. By mixing old and new wooden furniture along with the use of accent wall colours, each space now has its own unique story.

Light grey walls combined with reflective floors make the space appear more spacious. In order to avoid an excessively cold atmosphere, wooden chairs, woven cabinets and second-hand dining tables are used to provide warmth.
Changing up lighting and indoor plants will inject a different flavour.
Moving to the study area, grey storage cabinets are paired with the natural wood drawers to enhance the cosiness of the space. A calm blue sliding door (with leather pull ring) and a characteristic coffee table evokes a modern and contemporary style.
The placement of the display pieces on the shelves is also one of the key points, which gives the space more depth.
The grey walls act as the foundation in this bedroom. Layering on the wood grain floor and pink-toned bedspreads make the space both subdued and textured.
The small kitchen space, with its distinctive wood laminate and stainless steel combination, makes cooking a soothing experience.
The home office has pale grey walls and a work table painted with the same reflective paint used on the floor to bring consistency to the home. Nailing some leather strips to the floating shelves is a nifty way to bring out the character and warmth in the simple design.
