We talk to Calvin Chui, Founder of CNS Interior Design, who tells us about his design inspirations, what's in the pipeline for his firm and more!
Founded by Calvin Chui, CNS Interior Design has handled hundreds of projects spanning multiple industries, including residences, commercial spaces, office spaces and restaurants. The design team has recently expanded beyond Hong Kong to handle design projects in Shanghai and Singapore, with each finished project being highly praised by clients. The company’s great success comes down to the team’s patience and its sincerity in listening to – and understanding its clients’ needs – to create something to their satisfaction.
What is your design philosophy?
Balancing the ideas of the client and that of the designer is key to achieving a customer-centred design.
Tell us about your most memorable design project?
Every single work is unforgettable in a way. We have the opportunity to communicate with the clients. They are also happy to share their ideas with us. We enjoy the process at every stage because both the clients and we have the opportunity to grow.
What’s next for your company?
There are not many opportunities for clients to take part in interior design and renovation in their lifetime. The company hopes the clients and our team can participate and work together throughout the entire process, step out of our comfort zone, and come up with bold and innovative designs.
