Over the last 35 years, Valcucine has been quietly revolutionising the kitchen. The Italian brand has done this with its timeless designs, sustainable materials and customisation skills, as well as by harnessing authentic handcrafted traditions and developing them into high-tech techniques – all of which culminate in two of its newest proposals.

Valcucine is probably best known for its creations in glass – it made the world’s first glass kitchen 30 years ago – but it also takes customisation to the extreme with other materials such as copper, brass, zinc and titanium to marble, stone mosaics, mother-of-pearl, cut glass, and wood that is carved into intricate 3D patterns using ancient techniques updated with Valcucine know-how.

Italian handcrafted expertise also stands out on inlay work that brings together different materials to harmonious effect. Drawer interiors are configured with modular inserts – as seen is Genius Loci Drawers – that keep all manner of items orderly and to hand.

Another way to keep things within reach – and neatly hidden away – is with the new Logica Celata designed by Gabriele Centazzo, Co-founder and Creative Director of Valcucine.

Logica Celata – which translates as ‘hidden logic’ – comes in two new models, Kitchen and Home Bar. Both feature V-Motion, a system that activates the door so that it glides gently upwards or downwards with a simple hand gesture. It also activates natural-looking lighting on the back panel.

When closed, both models are elegant, monolithic-like pieces of furniture.  The Kitchen opens to reveal a large, fully customisable space that houses a work area, hob, extractor, sink, and storage. There’s also a power strip and an accessorised shelf complemented by a chopping-board rack, knife-rack and bottle-rack that turn cooking into an effortless ritual.

The convivial Home Bar is also ergonomically designed for space optimisation. Its door opens to expose a practical, well-organised interior fitted out with all the equipment required for wine tastings, mixing up cocktails or preparing the perfect espresso to enjoy with family and friends in true la dolce vita style.

Logica Celata is beautified by Vitrum Arte, a high-tech process that Valcucine has developed to reproduce inlaid designs – either Valcucine’s, personal designs or works by young artists – on glass by hand.

Valcucine puts people’s wellbeing at the centre of its designs, while stimulating the senses to bring joy to everyday activities.
