Iceland has become the go-to spot for travelers itching to unplug and soak in some raw, untamed nature, and the ÖÖD Hekla Horizon hotel is perfect base.

Located in the south of the country near Mount Hekla, this unique property offers seven mirrored houses designed to blend into the landscape.

ÖÖD Hekla Horizon is a collaboration between Estonian brothers Andreas and Jaak Tiik and local Icelandic entrepreneurs. It aims to elevate Iceland's tourism offerings by combining sophisticated design with immersive natural experiences.

The accommodations include three signature houses, two extended mirror homes, and two monolith mirror houses. Each unit features reflective exteriors that make them nearly invisible from a distance. You can enjoy panoramic vistas of the volcano, a nearby river, and potentially the Northern Lights from their beds or private hot tubs.

All houses come equipped with high-end amenities, including access to a sauna. The property also boasts a "Northern Lights Lounge," a glass structure specifically designed for comfortable aurora viewing.
