Located in Na Jomtien, just over an hour from Bangkok, The Standard, Pattaya Na Jomtien is set to carry the brand's signature blend of laid-back luxury and bold design. The move follows the success of The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon, which opened in 2022.

The 161-room beachfront property represents a bold architectural experiment by Verena Haller and The Standard's in-house design team, working alongside Bangkok-based studios ONION, DIN Studio, and Studio Lupine. The collaboration produces what the brand calls a "playful interpretation of modernist architecture" that transforms brutalist principles into coastal hospitality.

The design softens harsh brutalist edges with undulating curves and rhythmic vertical lines, creating a sculptural environment that contrasts sharply with Na Jomtien's relaxed setting. Rather than mimicking traditional Thai resort aesthetics, the architecture embraces bold geometric forms while maintaining the brand's signature irreverent charm.

Landscape architecture by PLA weaves greenery throughout the property, creating sensory transitions that guide guests through spaces defined by shifting shadow, texture, and light. The approach prioritises experiential design over decorative elements, allowing the architecture itself to create atmosphere.

Room design maintains the modernist approach across categories spanning 42-square-meter Standard Kings to a 322-square-meter Penthouse. Each space features clean lines, rain showers, and carefully curated amenities including Davines bath products. Higher-tier suites incorporate private pools and ocean views without compromising the architectural vision.

The property's dining venues extend the design philosophy. Esmé, The Standard's first beach club, blends Mexican coastal cuisine with Thai ingredients in a space that balances beachfront casualness with sophisticated design. Sereia focuses on Chonburi-style grilled seafood, while Mmhmmm offers an adults-only rooftop experience with mud lounge and ice bath facilities.
