Cook, the beloved Mediterranean restaurant in Paris' 17th arrondissement, has unveiled a stunning transformation led by creative duo Meryl Motyka and Simon Mimoun of Mersi agency.
The 1,300 sq. ft. space has been revitalised to reflect the legendary Parisian establishment while preserving its authentic essence.

The comprehensive makeover went beyond mere interior design, encompassing a complete brand identity overhaul. Cook's owners sought to maintain their loyal lunch clientele while attracting new evening diners and elevating the restaurant's reputation to match its culinary excellence.

"We wanted a style that was simple and distinctive," explains Meryl Motyka. The design team incorporated warm Mediterranean tones, carefully crafted lighting that adapts throughout the day, and a bar inspired by traditional Parisian bistros. Jute canvas murals and strategic mirror placement create an expanded sense of space.

Mersi's attention to detail shines through custom elements including the bar countertop, suspended bottle displays, and luxurious banquettes upholstered in Elitis and JAB fabrics. The restaurant's layout was redesigned for improved flow and staff functionality.

A playful surprise awaits in the restrooms, featuring bold, vibrant colors that offer guests a fun interlude. This transformation exemplifies Mersi's signature approach: elegant, empathetic, and meticulously crafted design that honors a venue's heritage while embracing contemporary innovation.
