Villa Beatrice, a century-old private villa perched above Portofino, has been brought back to life under Belmond’s stewardship.

Originally built in 1913 as a summer getaway for Ligurian entrepreneur Attilio Odero, the clifftop residence has been restored by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. It now enriches the Belmond collection, offering a luxurious escape near the iconic Splendido hotel.

Designed by Tuscan architect Gino Coppedè, the villa blends Art Nouveau, Neo-Renaissance, and Gothic Revival styles, distinguished by its intricate stucco work, arched windows, and a signature torretta (tower). This marks Belmond’s first property of its kind in the region, offering an exclusive escape immersed in history and natural beauty.

Brudnizki’s reimagined interiors honor the villa’s heritage, combining restored frescoes, local craftsmanship, and custom Italian textiles. The design pays homage to Ligurian traditions, with terracotta and Graniglia alla Genovese marble flooring, Palissandro blue marble bathrooms, and ceramics from Albisola Superiore.
