Sure, the menu by Chef Consultant Rowley Leigh is enticing and the location at Pacific Place in Admiralty is top-notch, but for us, the real allure lies in the interiors designed by David Collins Studio. A company that has redefined luxury interior design, the team at David Collins Studio is behind legendary creations such as The Wolseley and The Delaunay in London and Scarpetta in Miami. Alexander McQueen’s flagship store in Tokyo, and Jimmy Choo boutique on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

To quote Simon Rawlings, creative director of David Collins Studio, Luxury and elegance are all about a feeling. We curate that feeling, and it’s very hard to put it into words. Our creations are a sum of many parts, the definition of each of these cannot be individually identified. I strive for users of our spaces to feel that unique ambiance rather than to define elements. They should all be invisible. We must admit, we sure do feel that unique ambiance when walking through the front door at The Continental.

Channeling a timeless charm of Europe’s grand cafes, the bar welcomes guests at the entrance with a grand marble countertop and cosy, secluded table setup. The ceiling is stunning with curved details and hanging from it are golden orbs of light that create a warm and relaxing glow, setting the mood just right. Throughout The Continental, coloured ceramics complement the white marble, with textured oak panels, antique bronze detailing and emerald green accents adding warmth to the space. In the dining area, private booths line each side of the room while a series of vast windows greet you, giving a splendid view of the gardens. The garden area is perfect for enjoying meals al fresco, it’s a secluded secret haven in the middle of the concrete jungle, a rarity in Hong Kong. Apart from the garden our personal favorites are the warm herringbone wooden floors and the open Patisserie, where you can enjoy watching the creation of The Continental’s delicious desserts.

The restaurant opens 7:00 am, Mondays to Saturdays and from 10:30 am on Sundays.
