A SEOUL-FUL PLACE TO STAY

London-based architecture and interior design studio Michaelis Boyd injects spark and boldness into RYSE Hotel – a member of The Marriott’s Autograph Collection – located in the heart of Hongdae, Seoul; and it’s every design lover’s dream. The lifestyle hub takes its cues from the beauty of Korean landscape and the youthful atmosphere of its neighbourhood. Designed by Steven Song Design, the building is home to a sundry of artistic design elements against a dramatic yet soothing colour palette. Treat your loved one to a genuine visual feast that pleases the senses while enjoying all the vibrant offerings in Seoul.

PREPARED WITH LOVE

Special four-course menus have been put together for Valentine’s Day at hip sister establishments Bedu and Uma Nota, from Meraki Hospitality Group. At Bedu, each guest is welcomed with a complimentary glass of prosecco, followed by a selection of its modern Middle Eastern dishes: beetroot and mint labneh, slow-baked salmon, and charred cauliflower, concluding with white chocolate clafoutis. The Brazilian-Japanese boteco Uma Nota, meanwhile, will offer seven of its signature dishes, including a choice between tiger prawn or grilled steak. And because every heart deserves to be loved, both restaurants will donate HKD25 from every meal to support local non-profit foundation Pink Alliance, which advocates for equal rights for the LGBTI community. HKD400 per person.
