Wedding planning can feel like you’re tumbling down a deep, dark rabbit hole. Although it’s intended to be a romantic celebration, for many couples, planning their big day becomes a stressful balancing act of fulfilling their own wishes and pleasing their family and friends. For those who want to do it in style minus the hassle, the Four Seasons offers the Turnkey Wedding package, which lets the hotel catering team take care of every detail so the bride and groom can enjoy their special day among loved ones.

Although lavish, large-scale weddings are a speciality for the five-star hotel, the Turnkey Wedding is a refreshing break from tradition. There’s a trend among young couples for something more casual. Held in the Peak Suite on the 45th floor of the hotel – an elegant space that looks out over an impressive cityscape – the setting can hold up to 60 guests comfortably for a sit-down ceremony followed by a relaxed cocktail reception. The hotel provides everything needed for the occasion, including the décor and flowers, along with canapés, champagne and a wedding cake.

While there are standard options available, the staff can happily customise the setup and accommodate the event to the couple’s every whim, too. Fancy a fun and playful Mad Hatter’s tea party or glittering, gem-inspired affair? Pastry chef Ringo Chan is on hand to whip up a gorgeous cake and treats that capture the imagination.

For a fairytale-inspired wedding, the team recently turned to Lewis Carroll’s children’s classic Alice in Wonderland for inspiration. They conjured up a decadent dessert table topped with teapot-shaped macarons, cookies resembling wacky clocks and a marvellous three-tiered topsy-turvy cake adorned with edible playing- card soldiers.

Following a day of festivities, newlyweds can check-in to the Harbour-View Suite to enjoy every perk the hotel offers. Because if there was ever such a thing as a modern-day happily ever after, surely it would start with a snooze-in followed by breakfast in bed, with little to do except admire the vast harbour views – and each other – from a peaceful perch, high above the buzzing city.
