This Japandi-style residence is a serene escape from the hustle of Moscow.
Nestled in a serene landscape once painted by Russian artist Vasily Polenov, this L-shaped, 1,450 sq.ft. residence combines minimalist Japandi and wabi-sabi styles for a dwelling that "harmonizes with our inner state," says designer Yulia Barshevskaya.

This 1,453-square-foot haven, conceived by Barshevskaya in collaboration with actor Dmitry Ulyanov, features Dantone Home furniture throughout.
The L-shaped structure, with its flat roof and panoramic glazing, invites nature to take center stage. Inside, a curated palette of warm woods and textured stones creates a sensory experience that celebrates imperfection and mindful simplicity.
At the heart of the home, a multifunctional kitchen unit by Dantone Home serves as both a culinary workspace and a clever room divider. The living areas flow effortlessly, each space designed to promote relaxation and contemplation.

The bedroom showcases a stunning ribbed amber-wood wall panel that shimmers in the sunlight, while organic forms like the Pebble console add to the natural harmony. Two generous terraces extend the living space outdoors, offering al fresco dining and secluded relaxation among the birch trees.
Barshevskaya's thoughtful material choices and commitment to wabi-sabi principles shine throughout. Textured plaster walls embrace rawness, while carefully selected furniture pieces like the modular Clive sofa and unique Tulum-shaped chaises invite comfort and introspection.
