The skilled architects at Vudafieri-Saverino Partners have masterfully transformed a 1950s house in Versilia – the Tuscan coast's most sought-after seaside destination – into a modern and comfortable 2,800 sq. ft. living space. With a harmonious blend of glass, wood and stone, this home exudes sophistication while maintaining a practical balance of form and function.

In this complete restoration project, architects Claudio Saverino and Tiziano Vudafieri worked their magic by modifying the façades, expanding the spaces, and introducing a variety of styles and colors, resulting in a gorgeous holiday home that is both simple and elegant. With the use of permeable spaces and a pleasant Mediterranean ambience, the architects have successfully created a relaxing atmosphere.

Bridging the house, garden, and outdoor spaces has been the key highlight of the entire project. Thanks to the large windows and glass doors, the living room has gained depth, creating continuity with the outdoor deck and the lush greenery surrounding the house. With an integration of outdoor spaces, the living room has essentially expanded twofold during the warm seasons.

For the interior design, Claudio Saverino and Tiziano Vudafieri created a soothing ambiance with a sequence of airy and elegant spaces. Every room has an identical style expressed through precise details. For instance, there are woven rattan ceiling panels throughout the ground floor and outdoor areas, bedroom textiles, bleached oak flooring, white terracotta tiles on the deck, and terrazzo tiles in varying colors in the bathrooms.

The bathrooms are given a more luxurious touch with Marmorino finishes created by the artist Filippo Falaguasta. Vudafieri-Saverino Partners kept to the Mediterranean palette, using shades from honey to caramel, and from light brown to beige, which were applied to the furnishings, floors, wall coverings, and exteriors. Overall, this creates a light-flooded, simplistic yet elegant ambience where one can enjoy a slower pace of life.
