This 807-square-feet mountain lodge at Bormio focusing on beautiful wooden elements creates a sense of comfort, warmth, and harmony between body and soul.
This 807-square-feet alpine home in Mount Reit, Bormio, overlooks the stunning scenery of Valdidentro. The home with a history of nearly forty years has been revamped by the architecture company studio wok, who transformed the invigorating mountain hut to a simple and cosy home.
The cabin was built using only two materials: wood and gypsum board. It sounds way too simplistic at first, but it actually fits the theme very well. The walls of the room are lined with pure white walls with pine furniture, and the floor is made of larch wood. The consistent color tone adds warmth to the cabin. The design team especially added multiple large panoramic windows to the cabin to emit natural light from the outdoors, so as to keep the space open and allowing a 360-degree mountain view at any time.
The dining room is mainly based on light wood color, with dark grey combing and kitchen walls, imbuing the original flat space with depth and warmth.
The cabin houses two bedrooms. Woods of different depths are matched with each other to cultivate a sense of healing and relaxation. At every level, you can experience the harmonious relations between nature and man.
