The Awards aims to showcase the innovative power of design for Asia.
As one of the most prestigious events in the international design calendar, the DFA Design for Asia Awards, organised by the Hong Kong Design Centre, is accepting online submissions until 30 June.
Sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Awards has recognised around 2,900 outstanding design projects since its inception in 2003, becoming a premier platform for designers and enterprises to gain international recognition. It invites creative talents and organisations worldwide to present their exceptional designs and share Asia’s perspective with the world.
The DFA Design for Asia Awards spans across 30 categories in six major design disciplines:
- Communication Design
- Digital & Motion Design
- Fashion & Accessory Design
- Product & Industrial Design
- Service & Experience Design
- Spatial Design

Communication Design includes (1) Identity & Branding, (2) Packaging, (3) Publication, (4) Poster, (5) Typography, (6) Marketing Campaign

Digital & Motion Design includes (1) Website, (2) Apps, (3) User Interface, (4) Game, (5) Video

Fashion & Accessory Design includes (1) Fashion Apparel, (2) Functional Apparel, (3) Intimate Wear, (4) Jewellery & Fashion Accessory, (5) Footwear

Product & Industrial Design includes (1) Household Appliance, (2) Homeware, (3) Mobility, Professional & Commercial Product, (4) Information & Communications Technology Product, (5) Leisure & Entertainment Product

Service & Experience Design includes (1) Service Design, (2) Experience Design
Eligibility
Entries must have been launched in at least one Asian market between 1 January 2023 and 31 May 2025 and must be submitted by the owner, client, brand owner, designer, or design consultancy.
Judging Criteria
The judging panel, comprising renowned designers and industry experts, will evaluate entries based on creativity and human-centric innovation, usability, aesthetic, sustainability, impact in Asia, as well as commercial and societal success.
Winner Privileges
Winners will be showcased in related exhibitions and the DFA Awards online gallery, have the opportunity to attend the awards ceremony and participate in Business of Design Week (BODW), providing opportunities to engage with both local and international design leaders and business executives.
