Architect Gabriella Guerreiro from Intu Arquitetura turned a 785 sq.ft. Pinheiros apartment into a minimalist haven for a young woman from Recife. The project started when Gabriella finished another job in the same building and got recommended by the caretaker.

"The client was looking for a functional apartment for everyday use, with space for a home office and space to entertain friends and host her parents,” explains Gabriella. “The idea was to create a home with a timeless, minimalist aesthetic, without sacrificing comfort and practicality."
Instead of major structural changes, Gabriella made strategic moves. She merged the kitchen with the service area, relocated the laundry closer to the terrace, and added a new countertop by the stove. This expanded the cooking space significantly.

Custom cabinetry by Yama Móveis became the project's backbone. "We designed every detail to ensure functionality and a light, fluid look. We focused on rounded corners, wood tones, indirect lighting, and a neutral palette that conveys tranquility," says Gabriella.

Monofloor's seamless flooring unified the spaces while Teto Vinílico's wood-look vinyl ceiling warmed the living room. The client kept original bathroom tiles to budget for higher-impact areas.

The dining room's acoustic mushroom pendant from Boobam created a perfect coincidence. "When Gabi showed me the Hogar S pendant, I told her the designers had presented the piece in my class that same week,” recalls the homeowner. “It was a beautiful coincidence, and I loved the choice.”
