Copenhagen is famous for its The Little Mermaid statue, the most photographed mermaid in the world, for its delicious, open-faced smørrebrød sandwiches and for its millions of bikers.

Of course, it’s a haven for contemporary and minimalist design, as well. Plan a holiday there and you won’t be lacking intriguing locales to explore, from Michelin-starred restaurants to design studios rocking the world with their game-changing collections.

Vakst

Vakst is full of greenery and imbued with a cosy atmosphere. Fresh, Nordic vegetables are the main affair here, but it’s also possible to enjoy a good steak, fried whole fish, or a platter of shellfish.

Restaurant 108

Recently opened Restaurant 108 is situated in a vibrant area of town, serving up traditional Copenhagen dishes incorporating berries, flowers, and other vegetables sourced straight from local farmers. When you take a seat at one of its tables, take a look at the cutlery set: it has been designed especially for the restaurant by design studio Table Noir.
