Less is more in this art-filled abode atop Mid-Levels.
The owners of this Mid-Levels apartment sprawling 1,520 square feet are desirous of an abode to display all of their favourite art collection. With this goal in mind, the design team at Grande opts for an all-white palette to spotlight the art pieces; the colour tone also maintains a serene and soothing mood throughout the space.
The team overhauls the apartment’s layout to match the owners’ lifestyle. The dining and the living area, for instance, have been relocated next to the kitchen and windows. In the living room, modern furniture with simple outlines complements the artwork galore, punctuated by the upholstered lounge chair in teal.
The white palette extends into the individual rooms, with dashes of colour injecting whimsy into the dwelling, including the blue cabinets in one of the bedrooms and the shades of paint in the kids’ bedroom. Understanding that the owners do not bathe that often and prefer instead a sauna, the bathroom has integrated a mini sauna area that can rival that of a clubhouse.
