In collaboration with digital and physical collectibles platform FWENCLUB, Spanish artist Joan Cornellà is launching his first-ever NFT collection “MOAR by Joan Cornellà”.
Poking fun at sensitive and taboo topics with a fluid hand and minimal visual clues, Spanish artist Joan Cornellà has since taken the internet by storm. His first-ever NFT drop “MOAR by Joan Cornellà” ventures into the metaverse, telling the story of a virtual mansion called “MOAR”.
It goes something like this: While the world is in lockdown due to the invasion of aliens, guests staying at the mansion, including humans, zombies and cyborgs, are living peacefully together. And so this building is now home to 5,555 creatures with their souls minted on the ERC721 blockchain as NFTs.
Each NFT is unique, hand-drawn by Cornellà using over 180 unique attributes. MOAR is a rather unusual building because you can find shops, games and virtual exhibitions there too. Holders enjoy a range of benefits: a chance to win a 3D avatar in the metaverse, access to Cornellà’s physical and virtual exhibition, as well as exclusive purchasing rights to the artist’s physical & digital artworks.
Cornellà is famed for using powerful black humour in his iconic artwork and comics.
