Following the launch of the world-famous Bubble sofa in 2014, Roche Bobois reimagines the Bubble Collection to suit the needs of bedrooms. Made from the Techno® fabric, a high-end material created by designer Sacha Lakic exclusively for the brand, the latest additions – the BUBBLE bed and COIFFE pivoting armchair – are designed to perfectly match complex shapes, including rounded and curved shapes.
Evoking a cloud of bubbles, the furniture are composed mainly of wool. The fabric sowed with the “honeycomb” motif is applied on a base in contrasting polyester available in 3 possible variations – Techno2D® fabric, Techno3D® fabric, and Techno4D® fabric – and a plethora of colour options. The honeycomb structure gives out an exceptional kind of lightness and elasticity that result in enhanced comfort and visual depth, as well as the ability to resist deformations.
The BUBBLE bed is an enveloping bed with plump curves that echo its predecessors – the original Bubble sofas and armchairs. As with all the members of its family, this bed is the epitome of comfort and draws users into a restful sleep.
The COIFFE pivoting armchair designed by Stephen Burks is upholstered in Orsetto Flex fabric. As pretty it is comfy, it features a back in hood with 2 positions and is structured in solid fir wood and pine plywood. The seat cushion made in bi-density foam gives an extra round of cosiness. What’s more, the pivoting chrome-plated base has an automatic return system that sets and recalls your desired position.
